I'm a pretty dedicated Fitbit user, and think the payment feature would be very handy, but there's no way I'm paying £299 for a watch that looks like that!

Especially given Fitbit's notoriously shoddy build quality.

I agree there. Im a fan of fitbit, but I dont even use cards on mine apple watch - use my phone all the time, but It doesnt work for me on the watch.

Way to reinforce the 'Fitbit for your finances' catch phrase.

Starling must be pretty pleased about this - it should get plenty of press & presumably, they were chosen because their modern platform meant that they were the easiest bank to get set up with.

Having said that, they have such a small user base that I'm not sure whether this will really drive sales for Fitbit. So I'm guessing they'll be looking to get set up with other banks soon too.

It's good to see some much needed competition for Apple Pay too. There's not many Fitbit apps so the fact that they've gone to the effort to set this up suggests that they think that payments are a big deal.

Would this make anyone open a Starling account / buy a Fitbit?

Niche - I'll file under "Does a thing" press coverage but I'm loving Starling just now. Isn't Monzo launching a thing today as well?

Yes they are.
